Since the founding of Munsang College (Hong Kong Island) in 1999, I have had the privilege of serving here for over a quarter of a century, witnessing the remarkable growth of our school. It is a great honour for me to become the third principal.

I am filled with hope and confidence in the potential that each and every one of you holds. Every academic year brings fresh beginnings and new opportunities. I hope that every teacher and student will seize this chance to develop, pursue excellence, and achieve breakthroughs, thereby ‘telling your good story’ and sharing the good story of IMSC. But how can we tell our own good stories?

Firstly, actively participate, dare to try, and embrace the diverse campus life. School education is not limited to textbooks, knowledge, and exams. Engage in different clubs, school teams, and activities—transition from being an audience member to a participant, and then to an organiser. Take on different roles, contribute in various ways, meet new friends, and acquire new skills. By doing so, you will make your own story more interesting, meaningful, and fulfilling.

Moreover, always remember our school motto: ‘Light and Life’ and ‘All for One, One for All’.

• ‘Light and Life’: Strive to be a good person—be kind, wise, and help make the world a brighter place.
• ‘All for One, One for All’: Serve, not to be served. Support one another and work together as a team. When you help your friends, you also help yourself, our entire school, and society.

Set goals for yourself and reflect on the achievements you wish to attain and the breakthroughs you aspire to accomplish. Improve your grades in a specific subject, learn new skills, be a good friend, make plans...With hard work and unwavering determination, take steady steps towards your goals. By doing this, you will ‘write your good story’—a story of effort and success.

Work hard, be kind, and help others. When each of you writes your good story, we collectively create the good story of IMSC. Let us make our school’s story even greater.
